Wear the Best Women's Golf Shoes You Can Afford

Even if You Wear Nothing Else!

A lot of the success or failure at golf comes down to confidence.

If you KNOW that your drive is going long and straight, if you KNOW that you are going to sink that 10 foot putt, then you are more likely to.

As the saying goes "If you think you can or you think you can't, you're right."

And confidence is affected by a number of factors, including equipment. Have you got the right club for the situation? Not only the course, but for you personally.

But it's also dramatically affected by how good you look and how good you feel. And one of the most significant aspects here is the shoes that you're wearing. Do they look good? Do they anchor you firmly to the ground. Do they hold you in place for the duration of your swing, from start to finish? Are they comfortable to walk around in? And will they still be giving you good service in 6 or 12 months time?

That's why we say "wear the best women's golf shoes you can afford."

To Spike or Not to Spike

ASICS Women's Gel-Course Glide Golf Shoes

While clearly there is an enormous range of women's golf shoes to choose from, with an equally broad range of prices, they are also divided into two broad categories.

Those with spikes and those without spikes.

What are the differences and why does it matter?

The difference is simply that women's golf shoes without spikes are more like trainers and you can walk around in them comfortably off the golf course.

I can't really see the point of that.

You want to walk around comfortably at the 19th hole or for lunch at the clubhouse, then sure, bring a pair of trainers or walking shoes to change into.

But if you want to play golf, get proper golf shoes with spikes that will anchor you firmly to the ground whether it's wet, dry or in-between.

However, there is a counter-argument and it goes something like this:

Traditional golf shoes can cause major damage to the course, making it difficult to manage over time and costing the club money on upkeep that could’ve been used elsewhere.

Spikeless shoes were developed to provide the same level of support and balance without disrupting the grounds as much. These shoes will help you stay comfortable on the links without leaving too many divots along the way.

In the end, it's your personal decision to decide what sort of women's golf shoes are right for you.

Our Best Women's Golf Shoes

If you've had a browse round our site, you'll be aware that we promote products sold on Amazon and also have a range of products in our Shop, sourced from overseas suppliers.

What are the differences?

Amazon. Their supply is more limited, but everyone trusts them. You know that the product you ordered will arrive in a reasonable time. You can read and understand the product description because it's been written by a native English speaker.

Our Shop. The product is sourced directly from the manufacturer, whose factory is generally overseas. This has a positive and a couple of negatives. The positive is that you are getting the same product at a better price or even a product simply not available domestically, or at least not from Amazon. The negatives are that the descriptions may be written in fractured English and difficult to understand and the delivery time will certainly be longer.

That said, here are our recommended products both from Amazon and our own shop.

To be selected for one of our recommended women's golf shoes from Amazon, the product must have at least 10 reviews from real purchasers and the average review must be 4.5 out of 5 or better. Here are three of the best women's golf shoes.

ECCO Women's S-lite Golf Shoe

These are some reviews from actual purchasers of this product:

"I have a few Ecco golf shoes and straight out of the box are comfortable, however this one felt a little snug. This is an stylish shoe for summer golf. Its not meant to wear in rainy weather or morning tee times with dew on the ground. Im hoping this shoe will stretch out just a tad. I did order my correct size 38 7-7.5"

"Nice fitting for semi narrow foot- the shoes are white with a little tan leather inset. Feel good on with a light weight golf sock. Not overly clunky with a classic design that doesn't make your feet look huge."

"These shoes are the best gold shoes I’ve ever worn. I like to walk when I play and they keep my feet comfortable and dry."

"Comfortable and stylish! A nice neutral gray."

Ecco Golf Women's Biom G 2 Free

Ecco Golf Women's Biom G 2 Free

These are some reviews from actual purchasers of this product:

"This is the 3rd ECCO golf shoe i've purchased in last fews months. Golf shoes made of REAL leather with spikes are very hard to find these days since the trend is for mesh uppers and no spikes. My preference is to wear leather shoes for more support, comfort, and resistance to water. Leather shoes also last longer. Spikes also help with walking on hills and have more stability for me. While the ECCO shoes cost more, it is worth the price. Used to be a Footjoy fan but ECCO has far surpassed FJ. Leather is VERY supple, offeres a lot of support and cleans up well."

"I love the shoes and am keeping them. But 2 things:
- be aware they do run a teeny bit small. I have worn Ecco's for years and noticed that a few years ago they added extra padding inside. But I don't think they enlarged the inside, so the extra padding took up some foot room. They don't run as much as a half size too small, but if you are on the border as to size, I recommend going with the larger size.
- Are these really pristine new out of the box? There were the very tiny faint lines across the toe of the shoes that you get after you have worn shoes just a bit. Barely noticeable, but there. I am particular. Also, the 'stuffing' they put in new shoes was all awry in the box. And the box was really beaten up. I think these are probably returns or have been tried on a few hundred times. Maybe those scenarios still qualify these as new, but I think it is a fine line of truth.. That is why I did not give them a five.
But like I said at the outset, I got a great price on a pair of newish Eccos and will definitely keep them. I would also buy from this seller again. Just not absolutely perfect to this picky buyer."

"After a 20 year hiatus, just took up golf again and started with lessons. My entire body was sore, but my feet were comfortable during my entire lesson! Definitely recommend and super happy I bought these! Worth every cent to have comfortable feet!"

"Love these shoes. I have bunions, and these are such a high quality of leather they mode around them. The spikes give you a good grip for golf. These are a replacement for the same one I wore out after many rounds of golf."
